| The Kelly Mudd family has been in the
tractor and farm equipment business since 1947. From the 50's through the 80's the family
owned and operated three Case-International dealerships located in Alvin, Bay City and El Campo and primarily catered to the rice, soybean, corn and cotton industries. In the early 1980's, the parent company of Case-IH (Tenneco) began purchasing dealerships back from local owners and the three stores were sold
in 1985. Kelly Mudd continued working for Tenneco, managing the Alvin, Needville, Rosenburg
and Victoria locations until 1989, when he decided to open a new store
in the Hallettsville area catering to the ranchers of South Texas. Since
the first John Deere tractor was sold in 1990, the Hallettsville based company has
sold over 1,000 tractors in the south Texas area.
